VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified) openSUSE Tumbleweed versions prior to kernel-devel-7.0.11-1.1
Description A memory leak occurs in the 8021q module when vlan dev set egress priority() is used. The system keeps cleared egress priority mappings in the hash as tombstones. Repeated cycles of setting and clearing distinct skb priorities cause mapping nodes to accumulate until the device is torn down, leading to memory exhaustion.
Recommendations Update to a version where mappings are deleted when vlan prio is cleared instead of keeping tombstones. Update to kernel-devel-7.0.11-1.1 or a newer version.
