Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A division by zero occurs in the sound driver for ua101. The USB core does not validate class-specific descriptor fields such as
bNrChannels, which drivers must verify before use. If a device provides bNrChannels as 0, the frame bytes variable becomes zero. This value is subsequently used as a divisor in the playback urb complete() and capture urb complete() functions, resulting in a kernel crash.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
