VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A null pointer dereference exists in the AMD display Hot Plug Detect (HPD) initialization. The function amdgpu dm hpd init() may encounter connectors that lack a valid dc link. While the code checks for the existence of dc link when deciding whether to use polling, it subsequently dereferences the dc link variable unconditionally when configuring HPD interrupts, leading to a potential system crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
