Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description Certain physical adapters on Power systems fail to support segmentation offload when the Maximum Segment Size (MSS) is less than 224 bytes. When the hardware attempts to perform segmentation (where gso segs is greater than 1) with a small MSS, the adapter freezes, which halts all network traffic until a manual reset is performed. This issue does not affect single-segment GSO packets (gso segs equal to 1), as they do not trigger the problematic Large Send Offload (LSO) code path.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
