Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A buffer overflow exists in the greybus gb-beagleplay component. The
cc1352 bootloader rx() function appends serdev chunks into a fixed rx buffer before parsing bootloader packets. Because the helper may retain leftover bytes between callbacks or receive multiple packets in a single callback, the count value is not constrained by a single packet length, potentially leading to an overflow of the rx buffer during the memcpy() operation.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
