Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
OAuth2 versions prior to 4.2.2
OAuth2 versions prior to 4.1.7
Description
A CRLF injection occurs in the
AuthorizationUtils class. The issue arises when the WWW-Authenticate response header is constructed, as the realm parameter is concatenated without sanitizing Carriage Return (CR) and Line Feed (LF) characters. This allows an attacker who controls the realm value to inject arbitrary HTTP headers or split the HTTP response.Recommendations
Upgrade to version 4.2.2.
Upgrade to version 4.1.7.
