Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TP-Link routers (affected versions not specified)
Description Insufficient validation of externally supplied DHCP option data in the DHCP option processing logic allows an adjacent, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges. This occurs when the device is in a factory-default or unconfigured state, where the attacker supplies crafted DHCP responses during device initialization or provisioning workflows. Successful exploitation can lead to full compromise of the device and unauthorized administrative control.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
