VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A use-after-free issue exists in the ksmbd module during the durable reconnect process. In the smb2 open() function, the call to ksmbd put durable fd(fp) releases the reference to the durable file descriptor too early. If a subsequent error occurs, such as a failure in ksmbd iov pin rsp(), or if a scavenger accesses the file, the system attempts to access properties of fp (such as fp->create time) after the memory has been freed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
