Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free issue exists in the
advance sched() function within the taprio component. When should change schedules() returns true, the switch schedules() function is called to promote the admin schedule to operational status. This process queues the old operational schedule for RCU (Read-Copy-Update) freeing via call rcu(). However, the next pointer continues to reference an entry in the old operational schedule, leading to a use-after-free during the subsequent execution of next->end time = end time and rcu assign pointer(q->current entry, next).Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
