Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free issue exists in the greybus raw component. The problem occurs when a raw bundle is disconnected while its character device (chardev) remains open by an application. Because the
gb raw structure is freed during the disconnect operation, a subsequent release of the cdev by the application leads to cdev put() accessing freed memory, potentially causing a system panic.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
