Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A NULL pointer dereference occurs in the
map kptr match type() function when handling scalar registers. This happens because the function calls btf is kernel() before verifying the base type(). Since a scalar register stored in a kptr slot lacks BPF Type Format (BTF) data, accessing reg->btf leads to a NULL dereference.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
