Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the dm cache metadata component when the system fails to acquire the
root lock in the dm cache metadata abort() function because the block manager is read-only. In this scenario, a temporary block manager created outside the root lock is not properly released. This issue can be triggered by reloading a new table while metadata is read-only, or through concurrent metadata operation failed() calls resulting from races in cache mode updates.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
