Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An integer overflow exists in the AFBC framebuffer size validation process. The system calculates the minimum required buffer size by adding the AFBC payload size to the framebuffer offset without verifying if the addition overflows. This flaw allows userspace to provide an undersized drm gem object, which can lead to out-of-bounds memory access.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
