Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
cls fw module where TC filters are added to a shared block and published to the datapath before their change() function is called. This allows an invalid filter created with the old method to classify packets before it is destroyed by validation logic. This sequence can lead to a NULL pointer dereference in the fw classify() function, specifically when accessing q->handle with a NULL q value.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
