Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A configuration naming issue exists in the BPF subsystem where the use of
CONFIG CFI CLANG instead of the renamed CONFIG CFI causes code to be compiled out. This occurs because the option was transitioned to be compiler-agnostic. Consequently, Control Flow Integrity (CFI) failures for btf dtor kfunc t may still be triggered.Recommendations
Update the configuration to use
CONFIG CFI instead of CONFIG CFI CLANG.Exploit
Fix
Incorrect Type Conversion or Cast
Improperly Implemented Security Check for Standard
