Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ublk component where the per-IO canceled flag may remain set if a ublk server dies after issuing some, but not all, fetch commands during device recovery. Because these flags are normally reset only after all IOs in a queue are fetched, a partial fetch prevents the
ublk cancel cmd() function from calling io uring cmd done() on outstanding commands, meaning the cancellation of those fetch commands never completes.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
