Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
In the netfilter component, several modules access the
eth hdr(skb) function without properly verifying that the socket buffer (skb) is associated with an Ethernet device or that a valid MAC header is present. This issue affects ip6t eui64, xt mac, nf log syslog, and the bitmap:ip,mac, hash:ip,mac, and hash:mac ipset types. These components previously assumed Ethernet device association or performed insufficient checks on the ETH HLEN bytes at skb mac header(skb) relative to skb->head and skb->data.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
