Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the fastrpc component where the fastrpc get args() function incorrectly uses find vma() to locate the Virtual Memory Area (VMA) for a user-provided pointer to calculate a DMA address offset. If the provided address falls into a gap before the returned VMA, an underflow occurs during the calculation (ptr & PAGE MASK) - vma->vm start, leading to the corruption of the DMA address sent to the Digital Signal Processor (DSP).
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
