Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
accel/ethosu component where the driver does not implement the NPU OP RESIZE command, which is specific to U85. When a user submits this command via the DRM IOCTL ETHOSU GEM CREATE endpoint, a WARN ON(1) placeholder is triggered unconditionally. This results in excessive kernel log spam and, if the panic on warn variable is enabled, causes a kernel panic. This allows an unprivileged user with access to the DRM device to trigger a denial-of-service.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
