Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
accel/ivpu component where the system fails to validate read and write indices in the firmware log buffer. If the firmware provides indices that exceed the data size, it can lead to out-of-bounds buffer access. The fix involves implementing bounds checks to ensure indices are within valid limits and clamping them to safe values when invalid offsets are encountered.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
