Description A use-after-free issue exists during driver removal in the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) OCP implementation. The ptp ocp detach() function frees pin resources before calling ptp clock unregister(). Because ptp clock unregister() invokes ptp disable all events(), which modifies pin configurations for EXTTS (External Time Synchronization) events, the system attempts to access memory that has already been released. To prevent the interrupt handler from executing on another core during device unregistration, synchronize irq() must be called after the hardware is configured to stop producing interrupts.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
