Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists in the netfilter synproxy infrastructure. This occurs because netfilter hooks are registered on-demand when a user adds the first iptables target or nftables expression; if these actions are performed concurrently, they can race each other. To resolve this, a mutex was introduced to serialize access to the refcount control blocks from both frontends.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
