Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the x86 kexec implementation where the purgatory code provided by kexec-tools attempts to access a return address above the top of the stack during a non-kjump kexec. Because the return address is not pushed to the stack in the non-kjump path, this access can lead to a fault and cause the purgatory code to crash.

At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
