Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the mailbox component where the system fails to perform a sanity check for the channel array. If no channel array is attached to the mailbox controller, a subsequent dereference occurs, leading to an OOPS (a kernel panic or error state). This condition may go unnoticed because mailbox controllers often instantiate very early in the boot process.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
