Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference exists in the ras core get utc second timestamp() function, which is used to retrieve the current UTC timestamp for RAS error events via a platform-specific callback. The function attempts to print an error message using ras core->dev when a conditional check for ras core fails. If ras core is NULL, accessing the dev member leads to a system crash or instability.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
