Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A firmware crash occurs in the mt7921 wifi driver when a station is configured with an Association Identifier (AID) greater than 20. This issue specifically affects IFTYPE AP interfaces and was observed when using a modified hostapd that allocates AIDs starting at 65. The fix prevents the firmware crash by imposing an upper limit on the station AID, although it does not enable the use of AIDs above 20.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
