Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A deadlock occurs in the Distributed Switch Architecture (DSA) component when the system replaces the conduit device's ethtool ops with wrappers designed to aggregate statistics from the conduit and DSA switch ports. The issue is triggered when the system attempts to acquire the lock again within these DSA wrappers. This can be reproduced by running ethtool -i on a system booting qemu with fbnic and CONFIG NET DSA LOOP=y enabled.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
