Description A local privilege escalation exists in the mount(8) command due to a Time-of-Check to Time-of-Use (TOCTOU) race condition. This flaw allows an attacker to redirect the target path during the mount process to gain elevated privileges. TOCTOU is a software bug where a system checks the state of a resource before using it, but the state changes between the check and the use.

Recommendations Update libblkid-devel to version 2.42.2-1.1.
