Description A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the Telnet Subnegotiation Packet Handler component. The issue occurs within the getSubCommand() function located in the Packet++/src/TelnetLayer.cpp file. This flaw allows a remote attacker to trigger the overflow through manipulation, although the attack complexity is high and exploitability is considered difficult.

Recommendations Apply patch 98e671010bc7c87b95898c22ae289220ae92542b to resolve the issue in version 25.05.
