Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ClamAV (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the InstallShield file format parser where improper handling of temporary resources during file scanning can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) condition. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can trigger this by submitting a specially crafted InstallShield file for scanning. This action can terminate the scanning process and exhaust available system resources, causing the software to become unavailable.
