VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the mincore swap() function where the !IS ENABLED(CONFIG SWAP) guard is executed before the non-swap-entry early return. This causes mincore pte range() to spuriously trigger a warning and incorrectly report pages as nonresident on kernels built without CONFIG SWAP when CONFIG MIGRATION or CONFIG MEMORY FAILURE is enabled. This occurs because mincore swap() also handles migration, hardware poison, and shmem swapin-error entries.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
