Description An inconsistency exists in the runtime power management of the i2c imx driver. In the i2c imx runtime suspend() function, the clock is disabled before the pinctrl state is switched to sleep. If the pinctrl pm select sleep state() function fails, the runtime suspend process is aborted while the clock remains disabled, which leads to a system crash upon subsequent hardware access. Additionally, the i2c imx runtime resume() function must ensure the pinctrl state is restored to sleep if the clk enable() function fails to maintain consistency.

Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
