VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Eclipse Parsson versions prior to 1.1.8
Description The JSON parser does not enforce a default maximum on the number of characters consumed when parsing a single JSON document. This allows an attacker to provide specially crafted JSON documents containing excessively large arrays, objects, strings, numbers, whitespace, or nested structures, forcing the application to consume excessive CPU and memory, which leads to a denial of service.
Recommendations Update to version 1.1.8 or later.
