Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
WSO2 Products (affected versions not specified)
Description
The software fails to properly encode user-supplied input received via a URL parameter before reflecting it in the browser. This allows for Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), a technique where malicious scripts are injected into trusted websites. An attacker can use this to redirect users to malicious sites, alter the webpage user interface, or extract browser information. The risk of session hijacking is reduced because session cookies use the httpOnly flag, which prevents client-side scripts from accessing them.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
