Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
NanaZip versions prior to 6.5.1749.0
Description
Seven in-house IInArchive handlers in NanaZip.Codecs unconditionally dereference the caller-supplied
Indices array inside the Extract() function. This occurs when the archive engine signals to extract all items by passing Indices as NULL and NumItems as 0xFFFFFFFF. This leads to a NULL pointer dereference—a condition where the software attempts to read data from a memory address that is null—during the standard Test archive or Extract all operations for WebAssembly, ElectronAsar, Zealfs, Romfs, Ufs, Littlefs, and DotNetSingleFile archives, resulting in a process crash.Recommendations
Update to version 6.5.1749.0.
