Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
libde265 versions prior to 1.0.19
Description
A heap buffer overflow occurs during the decoding of a Wavefront Parallel Processing (WPP) HEVC slice. The issue resides in the
decoder context::decode slice unit WPP() function within libde265/decctx.cc. When the PPS/SPS headers are specifically crafted, the calculation of ctbAddrRS as ctbRow * ctbsWidth can result in a value that exceeds the size of pps.CtbAddrRStoTS.size(). This leads to an out-of-bounds read when accessing the pps.CtbAddrRStoTS[ctbAddrRS] array.Recommendations
Update to version 1.0.19.
