WorkScout-Core versions prior to 1.7.09
Description
Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) in the WorkScout-Core plugin for WordPress allows for authentication bypass. This occurs due to missing or incorrect nonce validation—a security token used to verify that a request was intentionally sent by the user—within a function. An unauthenticated attacker can perform unauthorized actions by tricking a site administrator into clicking a forged link.
Recommendations
Update WorkScout-Core to a version newer than 1.7.08.
