Description A heap-based buffer overflow in the Windows Network File System (NFS) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. A heap-based buffer overflow occurs when a program writes more data to a heap memory buffer than it can hold, potentially allowing the execution of arbitrary code or system crashes.
