Description
On Unix systems, the software may follow a symbolic link when opening a destination output path. This allows for the truncation or overwriting of the symlink target. The destructive action occurs during the open-time process via O TRUNC, which can happen before the full input validation is completed, a condition known as truncation-before-validation.
Recommendations
Update to version 0.17.0 or later.
