Description
The avatar upload functionality allows the embedding of user-supplied filenames into paths that are subsequently passed to the
child process.exec() function for MIME-type detection. Specifically, the models/avatars.js and models/fileValidation.js files utilize a shell command containing the avatar filename. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the server by including shell metacharacters, such as backticks or $(), within the filename.Recommendations
