Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Emlog versions prior to 2.6.14
Description
The admin backend user search module fails to HTML-escape the
keyword parameter from the 'admin/user.php' endpoint before rendering it into the value attribute in 'admin/views/user.php'. Although the input is processed with addslashes, the lack of proper escaping allows reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) within an administrator's backend session. XSS is a technique where malicious scripts are injected into trusted websites.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
