Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the zs serial driver where a kernel crash occurs during the initialization of the first serial port. The crash is caused by the dereferencing of a pointer derived from a null pointer to the port's parent device within the serial base ctrl add() function. This occurs because the driver relied on legacy probing, which failed to provide a valid parent device.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
