Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A Use-After-Free (UAF) issue exists in the drm/i915 component. The problem occurs during TTM object purge when the bo->ttm object is modified by the ttm bo validate() function. This can lead to a general protection fault due to the dereference of a file pointer field within an i915 TTM page vector container associated with an object being purged during eviction. This specific path is triggered when an object is marked as no longer needed and its content is purged while still busy.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
