Description Memory corruption occurs in the digi acceleport USB serial driver due to missing sanity checks for bulk-out buffer sizes. A malicious device reporting smaller buffers than expected can trigger out-of-bounds memory accesses or slab corruption, which is the corruption of memory allocated via the slab allocator (a kernel memory management mechanism).
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
