VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a deadlock issue involving NFSv4.1 state recovery. The deadlock occurs when kthreadd attempts to reclaim memory by calling the nfs release folio() function, which is blocked due to the need for state recovery. The issue involves waiting on kthreadd while state recovery is in progress, preventing nfs release folio() from making progress. A potential resolution involves initiating a writeback of the folio without waiting for completion or triggering an asynchronous commit.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
