Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A null-pointer dereference exists in the bio integrity map user() function. This occurs because pin user pages fast() may only partially succeed in pinning pages, and the bio integrity map user() function fails to handle this partial pinning. Consequently, bvec from pages() attempts to dereference an unpinned page address of 0, resulting in a general protection fault.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
