Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the netfs perform write() function where folio->private is not correctly manipulated between NULL, NETFS FOLIO COPY TO CACHE, group pointers, and netfs folio structures. This failure in state management can lead to multiple attachments of private data, resulting in folio reference leaks, as well as leaks of netfs folio structures or netfs group references. Additionally, the netfs set group() function may cause leaks if called multiple times on the same folio during a whole folio modification.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
