Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the netfs component where streaming writes can be incorrectly overwritten. In netfslib, streaming writes allow dirty data to be stored directly into folios without prior reading. When a partially written streaming write page is entirely overwritten by a single write() operation, the netfs perform write() function fails to discard the netfs folio upon success and does not correctly handle partial copies that overwrite portions of the dirty data.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
