Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the Linux Security Module (LSM) where the cred guard mutex is not held during the execution of the lsm set self attr() function. This is particularly relevant for SELinux and AppArmor, as these modules verify if a process is being ptraced—a mechanism allowing one process to observe and control the execution of another process—to determine if a transition should be permitted.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
