Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak occurs in the erofs init inode xattrs() function during inode extended attribute (xattr) initialization. The issue arises because certain error paths following the erofs read metabuf() function call exit through the out unlock label without releasing the metabuf, leading to a folio reference leak. A folio is a memory management unit used in the Linux kernel to handle pages of memory.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
